I am toying with the idea of making some Mead this year.
Mead is one of the world’s oldest fermented beverages. It is an alcoholic beverage made by fermenting a mixture of honey and water. Traditionally, mead is simply honey and water. Variations have existed through the ages, i.e. mixing grape and other fruit wines with mead enhances the flavour and can be traced to Roman times.
In ancient cultures mead was believed to have magical healing powers and increase fertility!
